Dr.Sadaf Bashir Khan has her expertise in thin films fabrication and nanaparticles sysnthesis via PVd techniques and chemical methods. She did simulation and modeling of a single layer, bilayer, and multilayer or composite Antireflective coatings compatible on required substrates according to optoelectronic applications. She practically implemented the simulation designs via experimentally fabricating AR coatings using PVD techniques. She specifically focuses on single component multilayer AR coatings which accomplish reduced reflectance at a broader spectral region and an extended light incidence angle range. She elucidates the technological challenges of fabricated AR coatings in optics and their practical usage in real-world applications. Besides this, she also contributes in synthesizing nanoparticles useful for eliminating environmental pollution. She also work in exploring supramolecular self assemblies via STM. She has published numerous research articles including 4 patents in reputed journals. She is also serving as a reviewer in various international journals.
